Oil on linen.
A couple of years ago I was on a drawing tour around Scotland. It was a lovely trip with wonderful weather. I decide that I would head over to Dunnotter to watch the dusk arriving across the North sea behind the castle. I got there in the late afternoon and within half an hour it had gone from a beautiful clear day to being covered with the haar, that strange fog that comes from the north sea. As well as the drawings that I did I also took a series of photos to try and capture the speed with which the haar arrived.
