This is a painting from my backfield looking back across to the east. The farm or smallholding is called Sunnyside and when I was growing up our neighbours their milk cows. On a Sunday I’d be sent up with six eggs to get a jam jar of cream for the Sunday pudding. I remember the great big round pan that the milk sat in, that let the cream rise to the top so it could be scooped off.
