The moon coming to hide the stars – Painting

I was down in the trees near Forest Mill. Recently a great big area of forestry was cleared. I had gone down to draw some of the trees that have been left standing. At the end of the day, near s stand of trees that hadn’t been taken down, I saw the moon beginning to rise. This is a wee study of that moment with the star’s pricking the sky.
