At Blairingone there’s a road that heads across to Sheildbank. To the east of it is an old farm track that has an avenue of huge beech trees. I’d been along drawing them and was heading home. When I got to the junction, I turned around and saw the moon rising over the hill where my friend Andrew Gordon used to live.
